Why volunteer as a speaker?
Volunteering as a speaker is an opportunity to reach out to the next generation and inspire them to pursue a career in technology. It is a chance to share your story, your achievements, the lessons you've learned and, most importantly, your passion for IT.
It's also an opportunity to share what's new and what's hot in your industry. Think about drones, 3D printers, phones, blogs, music, apps and games - the opportunities are endless! Put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself, 'what is so interesting about IT?'
What is required of speakers?
Firstly, we will need you to commit to a half day to full day (3-6 hours) at Deakin University on the day of the event, Thursday 16 August. You will have the support of the dedicated Go Girl representatives throughout the entire journey! We're here to support you leading up to the event including helping you prepare your presentation, and we'll coordinate your schedule on the day.
