Go Girl, Go for IT is a fun, free, one-day technology conference designed to inspire girls in Years 5–12 across Australia to explore the exciting world of STEM. Held live and in-person every two years, the event aims to smash stereotypes, spark curiosity, and show students that a future in tech is creative, meaningful, and for everyone.

Go Girl features a high-energy lineup of interactive workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and real-life role model women working in technology. Students have the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest innovations, discover different career paths, and engage directly with leading Australian technology and education organisations.

Go Girl is a fully sponsored event and run 100% by volunteers.

Supporting Access

We’re committed to making Go Girl, Go for IT accessible for all students. That’s why we offer bus reimbursements to Government schools, with priority given to regional schools in Victoria. Conditions apply—please contact schools@gogirlgoforit.com for more information on eligibility and the application process.

Our Story

Launched nearly 20 years ago, Go Girl, Go for IT is an initiative of Women 4 STEM (formerly Vic ICT for Women), a not-for-profit, industry-driven organisation that supports women entering, staying, and thriving in technology careers.

Go Girl continues to grow, with our 2022 and 2023 events at Deakin University achieving record-breaking attendance and expanding our network of passionate sponsors and partners.
